Gateway Community Services Maine’s vision is an inclusive environment where immigrants and refugees can get the help they need to lead loving and productive lives.
Gateway Community Services provides mental health services to refugee adults and children in the Cumberland, York, Androscoggin area and Kennebec counties.
Your donation will help us grow our community-based programs:
Gateway Friends aims to build bridges between New Mainers and long term residents to reduce anti-immigrant bias and prejudice and provide a platform for healthy integration. Volunteers are matched with refugee families and individuals to offer support, friendship, and connection. Volunteers also help organize community events to build community among our refugee clients, many of whom are isolated and lonely.
After-school homework support to help refugee children and adolescents excel in school
